Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions we hear from Treasure Valley homeowners about our services, pricing, and process.

Pricing & Estimates

Nothing — all estimates are completely free and come with no obligation. We visit your property, assess the scope of work, and provide a written estimate. You decide if you want to move forward. We don't charge for our time to give you a quote.

We price based on actual scope — materials, labor hours, equipment needed, and disposal costs. We don't use high-pressure pricing tactics or charge more because a neighborhood "looks expensive." You'll get a line-item estimate so you know exactly what you're paying for and why.

No. Our estimates are comprehensive and include labor, materials, equipment, and disposal. The only time a price changes is if the scope of work changes — for example, if we dig and find unexpected conditions (rock, buried debris, etc.) that weren't visible during the initial estimate. We always communicate before proceeding if anything like that occurs.

Our Process

The simplest way is to call us directly at 208-863-4371 or submit a request through our Free Estimate page. We'll schedule a time to visit your property, assess the scope of work, and provide a written estimate — usually within 1–3 business days of your request.

Most on-site assessments take 30–60 minutes depending on project complexity. We typically deliver the written estimate within 1–2 business days after the site visit. For urgent repairs, we try to provide a quote and complete the work on the same visit when possible.

Not necessarily — many clients aren't home during the project. We just ask for clear access to the work areas, and we'll communicate with you by phone if we have any questions or encounter anything unexpected. We send a summary when the work is complete so you know exactly what was done.

We accept check, cash, and major credit cards. For larger projects, we typically require a deposit when work is scheduled with the remainder due upon completion. Payment details are outlined in the written estimate and project agreement.

Materials & Quality

We use quality materials from reputable suppliers — Rain Bird, Hunter, and Rachio for irrigation; Belgard, Versa-Lok, and Allan Block for hardscape; locally sourced Idaho rock and gravel. We don't use the cheapest available option when it compromises durability. Your estimate will specify the materials we're using and why.

Yes. We stand behind the work we do. If something we installed fails or doesn't perform as expected due to our workmanship, we come back and make it right. Specific warranty terms are outlined in your project agreement. We've been in Treasure Valley for 15+ years — we have a reputation to protect and we take callbacks seriously.

Yes — Jaramillo Landscape is fully licensed and insured for all the services we offer. We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation. You're protected if anything unexpected happens on your property during a project. We're happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.

For most work, we use our own trained crew. Occasionally, specialty work (such as gas line connections for fire pits) requires a licensed subcontractor in that trade. When that's the case, we coordinate the subcontractor and supervise the work so you have a single point of contact throughout your project.

Timing & Scheduling

Lead times vary by season. Spring (March–May) and early summer are our busiest periods — we can book out 2–4 weeks during peak season. Fall is typically faster. For urgent repairs (sprinklers that won't shut off, active pipe leaks), we prioritize same-day or next-day service. Call us and we'll give you an honest timeline.

We work year-round in Treasure Valley. Most hardscape, drainage, and construction work continues through winter unless the ground is frozen solid. Irrigation installs slow down in winter but repairs continue. Winter is actually a great time to book spring projects — you'll get on the schedule before the spring rush.

Light rain doesn't stop most work — hardscape, drainage, and irrigation projects typically continue. For concrete pours and paver compaction, we may need to pause if there's significant precipitation. We monitor weather forecasts and communicate proactively if we anticipate a delay. Any delays due to weather are communicated the day before, not the morning of.

For urgent repairs — a zone that won't stop running, an active pipe leak, a broken head flooding a bed — we try to respond same day or next day. For routine repairs and adjustments, typical scheduling is 2–5 business days. Call us at 208-863-4371 and describe the issue and we'll prioritize accordingly.

Service Area

We serve the full Treasure Valley area including Boise, Nampa, Meridian, Caldwell, Kuna, Eagle, Star, and surrounding communities. If you're not sure whether we serve your area, give us a call at 208-863-4371 — we're happy to confirm and schedule an estimate.

Our primary focus is residential properties, but we do take select commercial projects — particularly irrigation, drainage, and hardscape work for smaller commercial properties and HOAs. Contact us with your project details and we'll let you know if it's within our current capacity.

Yes — all estimates are free and on-site throughout our service area. We come to you, walk the property, and provide a written estimate at no cost. We believe you shouldn't have to guess what a job will cost, and we never charge for the time it takes to give you accurate numbers.

You can reach us by phone at 208-863-4371, by email at jaramillolandscaping208@gmail.com, or through our Contact page. We respond to emails and messages within 24 hours, usually much faster during business hours.
